The Sort — and why sorting is everything
Sorting is the heartbeat of the whole party. If your connections aren't sorted, nobody knows who you can actually introduce them to — so nothing can happen. When they are sorted, you become one of the most valuable people in the room.
Why sorting matters so much
Two thousand random connections can't help anyone. But 2,000 connections where 1,000 are people you truly know and 500 are open to intros? That's a superpower. Now, when another member is looking for, say, CFOs in a certain city, the network can instantly see that you know three of them well — and a real, warm introduction can happen.
How to play — the 5-minute game
The Sort shows you your connections one at a time. Go with your gut; you can always fix things later.
- Y I know them · N I don't know them
- Then, if you know them, how intro-friendly are they?
- 1 Open to intros — happy to meet people
- 2 Ask them first — likely open, but check with them
- 3 Only as a favor — very busy/private, but they'd meet someone if you personally vouch
- S Skip — decide later; it'll come back around
A round is up to 120 people, then you take a short break before the next one. Your first round you might tag 25–50; once you've got the rhythm and the keyboard shortcuts, 120 in under five minutes is very doable. The game shows you the people worth reviewing first, so your time goes where it matters most.
Stop whenever you like — nothing is ever lost
Every answer saves the instant you press it. Play 12 cards or 120 — hit ⏹ End round any time and you'll get your recap. At the end of every round, the 📝 Who you sorted list shows everyone from that round, newest first, with live controls — flip a Know/Don't-know, change a friendliness level, add a ⭐, or tag someone you skipped, right there on the spot.
Fix mistakes any time
Made a wrong call? Hit U to undo right in the game, or fix it in the round recap. You can also open your connections list, filter (say, everyone from a certain year), and tag by hand. Nothing is locked in.
Power moves
- ⭐ Star for follow-up — spot someone you want to reach out to? Press F to star them without breaking your rhythm, then pull up your starred list after the round.
- 🎯 Focus a round — sort just one slice: a certain title, a certain company, a certain year, or the people other party members also know (those unlock doors fastest).
- It moves your Activity dial — every round you play counts toward your TRUST Score. Sorting is never wasted.
